Polish - American doppelgängers

Hello!
Today I decided to play a game a little face association game. What am I talking about? Well, have you ever seen a person and couldn't stop wondering who they remind you of? Or better off, have you ever been told that you look like somebody famous? If you have, then this post should be fun for you, too. Since I'm a Polish girl living in America, I thought it would be fun to compare some off the well-known personas from my origin country to the worldwide famous celebrities from America.
I can only hope that you'll see what I saw, when I was looking for similarities, but if not, that's ok, too. I understand that everybody has a different perception, so don't hesitate to leave some comments whether you agree with me or not. If you have any other suggestions (talking to you my Polish friends), let me know. I sure will make another post like this one, once I gather some more recognizable faces :)
Enjoy!

  KATIE HOLMES                             and                  JOANNA JABLCZYNSKA

MANDY MOORE                   and       MARTA ŻMUDA TRZEBIATOWSKA

              GWYNETH PALTROW                             and          MALGORZATA KOŻUCHOWSKA

      JENNIFER ANISTON                   and           DOROTA NARUSZEWICZ

NATALIE PORTMAN                    and               JULIA KUCZYNSKA

As for men...

       CHACE CRAWFORD                           and             MACIEJ  ZAKOSCIELNY

ADAM LEVINE                           and                  MACIEJ BOSAK

And??? What do you think?

P.S. I need to apologize for any mistakes in Polish names, I did miss some Polish letters out, but tried my best to include them anyway. Failed in some cases, but with Polish letters or not, most of the names would still be hard to pronounce for some Americans.

Have a good night!

WHITENING THE CLOSET

Hello to the last week of April!

I'm back! I know, I know, everybody missed me so much... you have been probably checking my blog first thing in the morning for the past week, just to find out that I'm still on vacation... :) haha at least that's my wishful thinking talking ;) I swear I wanted to update it so many times, but decided not to, just so I can give myself a break for a little while. I have some big decisions to make and the next two months are going to determine whether I'm going one way or another..... I know it all sounds very enigmatic, anyways, for the time being, that has to be enough. When I do have all of my answers, I'll definitely share them with you guys.

Now back to the light stuff :) I've had these pictures for a while. It is a total spring look, currently trending all over the place, but I have to admit, for me it's pretty new. I was never the kind of person that would wear bright colors or whites, even if I tried, I'd always end up with black. I finally decided to give a try. I have to admit, it wasn't easy to find something in my closet that would create a good all white combo. Not everything that's white is in the same shade or style, plus my much limited wardrobe options were obviously not very helpful either. Anyways, I think I managed to do a decent job with this outfit. You be the judge, I think it's very elegant yet casual. Something between romantic and structured. Perfect for spring and summer.

OUTFIT DETAILS:

- H&M draped blouse ( Very popular trend at the moment, and I could not be happier about it. I'm always very self conscious about showing off my abdominal area. With this style, I am able to hide everything I want in a flattering way. Win Win.) You can find this blouse HERE.

- Zara skorts - I believe I do not need to say much about these ones. This subject is pretty much exploited. Ever since Zara released this amazing idea (I'm not sure if their store was the first one to come up with this particular style, but I've seen them on everybody and now after over a year, I notice more and more designs of this sort. Pssst! Forever 21 holds a couple knock off  - asymmetrical -  skort options, if you'd like to check them out, go HERE and HERE

- LC Lauren Conrad strappy high heels - veeeeery excited about these! Have been looking for shoes like these for the longest time, but I'm glad I waited. I have learned it is really difficult to find comfortable high heels with only two straps (they always make them extremely high and with this kind of pressure on your feet you are bound to be in pain. Somehow with these shoes I felt different). I love how flattering they are. Plus I got a very good deal on them. Go ahead and grab yourself a pair, they are still on sale HERE.

I hope you enjoyed this easy breezy post and you're happy I'm back for some more action ;)

Talk to you soon.

Ciao!

MORNING WALK

Good morning!

Before I leave Delaware for a while, I decided to go out and enjoy my neighborhood one last time. I wanted to capture things I pass every day in a hurry, telling myself over and over again that I will come back and take a moment to enjoy the little stuff. It's amazing how slowing down, taking a breath and simply noticing what surrounds us, can give you a peace of mind. Another perspective.

I'm only one day away from enjoying a totally different environment. So next time I'll be sharing with you another set of colors. Today though - take a moment and enjoy these little gems that are make my life in Delaware so much beautiFULLER (whoever watched Frozen then knows ;))

I love the vibe of this house. There's something mysterious and Frank Lloyd Wrightish about it.
It definitely stands out in our neighborhood.
Did you notice the squirrel skipping away in a kangaroo manner?
I definitely underestimated the weather today. Turned out it wasn't that chilly after all ;)

Enjoy the little things and moments people!

Happy Easter

T.G.I.F.

Happy Good Friday!

I know it's late and I realize it's already a new day in Poland, but oh well, I hope everybody had a great day. To be honest, ever since I came to America I lost a track of holidays. I do not celebrate them as much as I used to (meaning not going to church, not following any of the rules - disclosure: yes, I did eat meat today, the only think I knew when I woke up was that I have a day off, totally forgot why, though...). I do feel bad about it (sometimes), but I figured, if I decided to live my life in America for a while, then I should get accustomed to different rules. That being said, instead of going to church with a basket full of food to bless it this weekend, I'm going away to some warm places to celebrate spring break. I do tend to avoid all the craziness that surrounds any holiday in America.. Don't get me wrong, we are the same (to some extent) exchanging Christmas gifts in December in Poland, but we don't shower ourselves with a room full of presents in the morning of the Christmas Day. To me, it's just too much. Everything in America is done on a bigger scale and that's not always a good thing.
Anyways, I don't want you to think I'm trying to diss one culture or another. I believe in moderation, so any time I'm faced with one end of a spectrum, I tend to take a step back. I thought I would share that if you don't already know it about me.
Now, I'm going to leave you with these thoughts and skip away to enjoy holidays my way ;)

Fish feast (trying to make up for my mistakes eating salami and ham for breakfast and lunch accordingly)

Have a good weekend people!
God bless

LIFE IS A BEACH

Hello!

My sincere apologies for being so brief lately. Without getting into details, I had a lot on my mind and it became my priority to get some things right to come back with a rested mind full of new ideas. Anyways, don't want to bore anybody with my problems, so on to the good stuff!

A couple days ago I had a privilege of spending a weekend with a dear friend of mine at the beach house in South Delaware (yep, we have beaches here, too). It was really refreshing to get out of the small town I live in, breath a crispy sea air and enjoy some down time with my friend. And the house we stayed at... let me just say, a dream come true. It was hands down the best (perfect sized) house I've ever been a guest of and can't wait to go back there and pretend that it's mine just for another moment. I fell in love with a decor, layout, every single detail of it.

Not to drag any longer, here are some snapshots of a dream house I will own one of these days...

By the size of this house ( the look from the outside) I did not expect it to be so spacious
and fit so many rooms (master, kids, guest bedrooms etc.)
Gotta love the open concept kitchen! Perfect for entertaining friends at summer parties

Another great spot for entertainment or to just relaxing. Sunroom.
Master bedroom
It's all in the details!

Up the stairs...
Coming up the stairs tired you badly? Here's another spot to relax after a long day on the beach ;)
The cutest kid's bedrooms ever.
To my surprise, I discovered that these tiny rooms fit 3 kid beds.
It's all possible thanks to a smart design.
This beach house has so many bedrooms, I don't even think I counted them all, so I don't remember exactly how many, but just the fact that it has two kid bedrooms with 3 beds each means, you can have friends over with kids and fit them all in without a hassle. Love it!!!
 A beach house must have!

Even though this particular house was not directly located on the beach, it served as a perfect place to hang out and still feel like beach was right outside the window (when really, it was only a couple streets down, no big deal).

I hope you like this little tour around the house! Now all we gotta do is visualize our dream and they sure will come true! Believe me, it works like magic.

Have a good Thursday!
